Leave dates blank in Rate Seasons / Adjustments
It is far too easy to intend to change a rate for a limited period of time and forget that it is defaulting to 2011. Why can't the date screen be blank so you are forced to enter the correct dates. I have have to re-do our dates through 10/22/2011 twice now because of this easy-to-make error.

Just finished updating my rates for next year. This is no improvement! The fields are now blanked out, which forces you to select a start/end date. Okay so far.
BUT: You can't simply enter a date by hand, because it is wiped out immediately when you press tab to jump to the next field. So you have to pop up the calendar. Since this calendar still defaults to todays date and to 2 years ahead, you have to click a million times to get back to the date you want. It takes forever!
I repeat my suggestion from two years ago: I would suggest to keep the last date range that the user has entered and NOT to reset it to blank or to 2013. We enter our rates month by month and have to go through the procedure for each month, room type and for the weekday/weekend rate, so we have to manually select the same month over and over again. So simply leave the last time frame selected.I will also add a suggestion for a completely new window to enter rates;

Thomas, this feature is available, it looks like we neglected to update this request. Sorry about that. If you don't have the latest update, you can download it here: http://downloads.rezovation.com/rezovationgt_update.exe.

Again the question: Will this EVER happen?

Hi Thomas - it is in our queue, and scheduled for an update most likely around April. We'll update info here once we have a more solid date.

Sorry, guys, will this ever be completed??? This suggestion is two years old, it needed 1 year to the "planned" stage and now, after another year, it is still not done. Year after year it drives me nuts - this procedure is a pain in the butt :-(

I wish I could add my 3 remaining votes for this- having just for the umpteenth time changed the rates from 4/12/2010 to 4/10/2012- why in the world is this still under review? No one seems to think it is a good idea. I would give all 10 of my votes to it if I could- it causes more mistakes and wastes more time than any other issue in RezOvation GT. I know it can be narrowed, Ben, but it is so easy to forget to change the year from 2012. Can it just defaul to the current year if you don't want a blank default? Please fix it!!!

This definitely needs to be fixed. We keep screwing up our rates for two years in advance! Please make this less frustrating and difficult to use.

It's happened to me, too! Resetting rates and not noticing that it reset to 2011! Good idea!

Thanks for the suggestion! We'll see what we can do to make this less error-prone.
Currently -- if you click on the room name and then edit, the default selection is 2 years, and can be narrowed. If you just select specific dates first, then edit, the dates will be restricted only to your selection.

Very true and a good idea! But I would suggest to keep the last date range that the user has entered and NOT to reset it to blank or to 2011. We enter our rates month by month and have to go through the procedure for each month, room type and for the weekday/weekend rate, so we have to manually select the same month over and over again. Unnecessary and error-prone work.
