Name of 2nd person in room to be part of the reservation process
The name of the 2nd person occupying the room should default to the primary guest field. e.g. Room #1 John Doe & Mary
This has been resolved as follows:
- The field for “name of guest checking in” has been changed to better clarify what it is for, now it is labeled “If you are booking this reservation for someone else, please enter their name”.
- This field will populate the name of the guest on the room (as listed in the reservation details), which also determines what shows on the Occupancy Map.

Yes, this needs to be clarified for the guest making an online reservation. The person inputting the reservation is frequently putting in their partner's name in the "if someone other than you is checking in" field. Maybe it needs to say something like "if you are making this reservation for a 3rd party, enter their name here."

We have a lot of unmarried couples and people call and ask for a guest who is the second guest and it is hard to figure out where they are. We also would like the greeting on confirmations to read "Dear Jane and Joe" etc.

I agree that this is a good suggestion... I voted for it a month ago and STILL think it's got merit! I'd like to make a small addition to thier requet... I'd like the 2nd person's name to be added to the "registration card" so that you've got both people's names at hand when they check in (I currently hand-write in the 2nd person's if I've got it....) Thanks!!

I'm with Mike. So many times, the online guest puts their mate in the "if someone other than you is checking in..." field, and it creates a guest file for that second person. People don't read that the way I read it. I think that field is only needed if the person making the reservation is not going to be the guest, which for us is quite rare. Maybe I read it wrong.
