Color coding date on the calendar to alert to special conditions, events, & dates
This feature would allow you to show indicate on the occupancy map when there is a special condition, event, holiday, etc. Some examples:
- Min stay requirements
- Holidays
- Local events
Along with this, there would be a way to define special dates / events so that you can customize which dates / events you wish to track.
This feature will be available in our next update, due out around March 15 2010. Keep an eye on blog.rezovation.com for more info soon!

It sure is! Anything marked as "Completed' has either been released, or will be released on the date noted in the status update.
You can get to this setting by going to Configuration and selecting Custom Colors from the Additional Settings section on the right side.

Right now we have to choose between speed (optimum performance) and seeing the color that marks weekends (Fri & Sat). At least 2 of our computer run slow already so innkeepers are unable to see the weekend markings. It would be great if we didn't have to choose! And it would also be great to mark special holidays for 3-day minimums so they would "pop out" at us before we started booking a reservation.

It would be great to add this feature to the Day/Date bar at the top of the calendar. The user could edit a list of special events (with a date-range for each) and (hopefully) select a color. Then, the Day/Date header at the top of the calendar would be colored to correspond to the event, and 'hovering' over the date (or a click or right click) would revel the event's description.

I just thought of another reason to alert specific dates. I just had to look up (admittedly for the third time due to a faulty memory) the date of the upcoming quilt show in town. If there was a way to highlight a date (or series of dates) it would help me remember that something was happening, even if I had to look up the particulars again. I know I should just remember, but it just doesn't seem to be possible for me!!!
