Give us an alternative to Intuit
Can you work on a processing alternative? We seem to have endless problems with Intuit. It would be nice to have an option that is integrated with GT.

My business is in Puerto Rico and Intuit will not process payments made to businesses in Puerto Rico. I suggest finding a processor who can payments made in P.R. I have just signed up with Inn Payment to have credit cards processed through them. It was a long tedious process. Rezovation staff and Inn Payment claim that in a few months, the on-line booking engine will accept payments made through Inn Payment. Can anybody verify this?

Intuit Gateway is broken again!! And they provide no real time status. They have proven to be too unreliable and poor at customer communication.

it's my understanding that authorize.net as a gateway would enable us to shop around for lowest processing rates, or stick with our current vendor. it would be nice to have authorize.net as an option.

Might I suggest Elavon, available to both Canadians and Americans and with quite a robust discount for Costco members as well. They can process in USD, CAD and offer gift card processing (for US merchants at the moment).
From a Canadian perspective, we will need to be able to process chip & pin transactions, soon, which is important to our Canadian and European clientèle.

i concur. this is a captive audience, and with a monopoly rates always are higher. Choose another and let them compete (in the FWIW category, Heartland has always been reliable and merchant oriented)

It is my understanding that RezOvation has some sort of exclusivity contract with Intuit that prevents them from entertaining the concept of using other credit card merchants.
I was working with a lead dev with our previous credit card merchant to see if we could continue to use them. As it turned out, RezOvation could not or would not provide the details necessary to work on building an application to facilitate credit card processsing with our preferred merchant due to their contract with Intuit. It's very disappointing, and I feel that the weakest link in RezOvation is that users are forced into using Intuit and Quickbooks for credit card processing.
I nearly walked away when I initially discovered that merchant services were handled through Intuit, but our issues with our other system at the time outweighed any doubts I had.
If there is any possibility of allowing other credit card merchants in the future I would love to hear about it.
