Multiple Property Management for Single Owners
Original title was: ability to run 2 properties on one screen, our intown B&B and rural cottages
We were able to run both properties through one program on Rezo Desktop, getting separate reports and running separate credit card accounts. Would like that same functionality on Rezo GT.

Some features that we are considering:
- Multiple booking engines split out by property (along with the ability to have a single booking engine for all properties)
- Revenue tracking / reports by property (we do have some support for this now by way of Revenue Accounts, however we will improve this)
- Filter occupancy map by property (or view all properties / rooms on one screen) -
Tax plans should be tied to rooms and/or room types or reservations should allow multiple rate types
Tax plans should be tied either to individual rooms or room types so that taxes are only levied where appropriate. For instance, our community levies a room tax for sleeping accommodations, but not for meeting rooms. But Rez/GT charges the tax on all units. I've tried a workaround whereby I've created a separate rate type for rooms/room types that are not taxable, but I cannot book units with multiple rate types on a single reservation. To get the system to handle taxes properly, I need to create separate reservations for taxable and non-taxable units.

Logging of user interaction with reservation records
The addition of a running log of changes made to either a customer record or the reservation itself. Non-editable log appears via button on either record.
The example below assumes three users (John Smith, Amanda Doe and Judy Williams)
Example of log:
8/10/2011: Reservation Added (John Smith)
8/11/2011: Guest Note Added - "Rollaway Requested" (Amanda Doe)
8/12/2011: Guest Checked In (Amanda Doe)

Custom sorting for rooms
There should be a custom sort feature that sorts rooms based on preference (which would be set in the Room configuration), and determines how rooms sort on the occupancy map and in reports.

create a rolling rule option for opening up 1 night stays closer to the date (ie 7 days in advance)
We open reservations up for 1 night stays as follows: 7 days in advance for weekends and 30 days in advance for weekdays. As it is now, I would have to go in manually and change it every day!

This is planned for the future under a larger set of features geared toward yield management / automatic rate / min stay management. We’ll share more as we get closer to building this!

to revise how templates are created/managed
As it operates currently, one must duplicate, check out, revise, and then check in a template if it needs revision. This is absurd! It is inefficient and uncertain. For instance, if I've created a new template from an old one on Day 1, and then on Day 2, I forget what I'm doing and go into the actual saved template in Word and change something, it doesn't actually have any bearing on the template itself. In other words, the change was never made! In reality, I must open Manage Reports and Document Templates, choose my template, duplicate it, check out,… more

Ability to set a day of the week that no checkins are permitted
Being able to establish a specified day per week upon which no arrivals are permitted would be awesome...just like old Guest Tracker (never heard that before, I presume (:...). To have to set to book packages only makes accounting unusually difficult (only shows income as "Lodging") as well as making the availability calendar unusable. Not being able to view the calendar on our website or booking online is driving guests away. Thanks for the consideration!

Extra Adult charge is tax free
Should be a way to create the Extra Adult Fee to come from the extras to be able to assign different taxes and revenue grouping. Different states as well as counties don't charge bed tax on extra guests in rooms.

Add extra child category to base rates in the configuration
There needs to be a category called extra child like there is for extra adult in the base rate configuration, so that the rate is adjusted automatically. It gets very frustrating to have to remember to adjust the rate each time a child is added to a reservation in the booking screen. More often then not we are losing money because it is overlooked.

Recognize Revenue When Payment Taken
We operate on a cash basis so we consider Revenue when payment/deposits are taken.
I'd like to see the Option to Recognize Revenue when Payment is Taken.

choose color for No Available Room message
The red color for the message does not look good on all websites. Either allow us to embed some html code to manipulate the style of the message or give us a choice of colors.

Disable "Reservation Policies" in On-Line Program Configuration Common Settings
In Common Settings, you are forced to choose options for Disabled Access?, Smoking Allowed? Pets Allowed? and Suitable for Children.
These Policies are then displayed in the reservation setup. There is also a place in Booking Engine Settings for reservation policies and cancellation policies.
This now creates a situation where the same text is displayed twice, showing Common Settings default reservation policies and Booking Engine policies.4 votes -

Ability to see "reason for stay" and "interests" in show customer and show reservation screen
In the show customers and show reservations screens, I would like to have a column for interests and for reason for stay.

Additional Guest charge variable throughout the year
The program needs the ability to have the additional guest charge to be variable during different seasons of the year. For a seasonal area-this is crucial.

to have tabbed headers
Currently, the headings (Show Customers, Occupancy Map, Reservation and Sales, etc) are isolated categories. This is often a problem when we need to navigate between 2 categories without closing out of the first ie. looking up one guest's previous address who just called on the phone while in the middle of entering the credit card numbers of a different guest in the reservation screen. This may seem like a weak example but often situations and tasks compound to a unmanageable point and you can't just ask the guest, "Can you let me finish what I'm doing first?" Usually, I lose… more

would be great if a guests folio can be create and note be able to see the price of the agent
would like for two folios to be created for clients that were booked by agents, wholesalers etc so that in the guests folio they would not be able to see the price given to these different agencies and only their incidentals.....this would be a great feature

As business owner I want to give rate configuration access to an employee - but need to limit their ability to change other users passwords
As the business owner I need to maintain employee passwords and access to reports etc. If I give my manager configuration access so that they may change rates on our calendar, it also gives them access to all set-up and other employee info and password settings. It also alows them to change all other system wide configurations. This is a breach of security in the system as they can even change the admin password and lock out me as the owner.
